TAI
CHI and CHI GUNG
At the Abalone Inn we offer TAI CHI and CHI GUNG retreats in a
flexible format,
varying from single private sessions to two day group workshops
and on going classes.
You
can participate in these whether or not you are staying with us.
Group
sizes will be small (max. 6) and subject matter will be chosen
to reflect the needs of each person or group.
CHI
GUNG "energy exercise" refers to the ancient Chinese
movement arts desigmed to improve your health , inhance performance,
and heighten your sence of being alive. It is proven effective
in addressing a wide variety of physical and non-physical conditions
such as anxiety , stress ,chronic fatigue ,heart problems and
even cancers. Over the centuries the exercises have been thoroughly
researched and refined. They are adaptable to any level of physical
and mental ability and anyone can benetit from them.
TAI
CHI was origionally a fighting art and is now practiced mainly for
health. The WU style is particularly useful for recovery from injury.
Chi Gung is an essential component of good Tai Chi, infusing the physical
movement with vibrancy , power & internal stillness.

Instructor
Philip McKee has been practicing WU style Tai Chi and Taoist Chi Gung
for 7 and 10 years respectively ,
and teaching for 4 years.

| Fees
are reasonable , ranging from $10. per person for a group of 4 or more
(one hour) to $30. for a one hour private session. Lodging is additional.Please
call to make advance arrangements. |
YOGA
HEALING WEEKEND
Relax
and Renew with a Kundalini Yoga Retreat.
The practice combines classic Yoga postures with breath and meditation.
Weekend sessions at Abalone Inn include Sat. & Sun. Yoga plus
Sat. evening meditation class. Restore energy and mental focus
in a comfortable and supportive environment.
The Inn also offers Hot Tub in a garden setting and Professional
Massage.
Saturday and Sunday Yoga classes 10-11am. Meditation 4-5pm.
Prior experience is unnecessary, all levels are welcome.
Private sessions are also available.
Teresa
James is a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor with 6 yrs. experience
in teaching and supporting students in all levels of their practice.
Retreat size minimum 3-4 guests.

BREATHWALK
Meditative hikings sessions are
also available.
Minimum group size 4 guests. Instruction from noon to 1pm. $25. per
